Debra is a long-time resident of Long Island, with 41 years in the industry. She specializes in color, highlights, short and razor haircuts. Throughout the years, Debra has worked with the top leaders in the beauty industry to master her trade. She is trained and certified in multiple color systems and enjoys using various styling techniques to create exactly what her clients desire.  Debra has worked and lived in the community for decades and loves to share her wealth of knowledge and experience with her co-workers and the community. 

Teresa always knew she had a passion for hairdressing, followed through her dream, became very successful and has a talent for making people look and feel great.  Teresa cuts and colors hair to the client’s features, hair texture and what style they would like to achieve. Teresa enjoys doing hair for all special events.  Teresa’s greatest satisfaction is when clients tell her they love their hair and can tell she loves what she does. During Teresa’s many years of experience, she has continuously educated herself through companies such as Paul Mitchell, Matrix, Beauty and Science based in Italy, and presently at Safie Salon and Day Spa.  Teresa’s favorite product line is Kerastase. She is Barbicide certified and follows all health and safety standards.  

Lourdes has been a passionate hair stylist for 18 years.  She specializes in color, cut, and formal styling.  Lourdes is certified in Deva Curl and enjoys making people look their best with their natural curls.

Tara Friedlander has been a hairstylist for close to 30 years. Tara spent her first 25 years of her career learning and perfecting her craft at Maximus. Tara loves doing hair and enjoys getting to know her clients so she can create the best look for them. Tara specializes in cutting men, women, and children. Tara is certified in Magic sleek, Brazilian blowout, keratin treatments and an expert with hair extensions. She does formal updos and hair finishing.  Tara is also our "go-to" for Men and children's haircuts! Tara believes you should always further your education and is always attending classes to learn the newest trends and techniques.

Kaeli is an up-and-coming make-up artist with a unique sense of style. She is self-taught and continues to further her career through techniques learned on social media. She gets her inspiration from international and global make-up artists. Kaeli is a great listener and is known for creating just the right look for any event. She has an eye for everything from a natural look to Full Glam. "I love the feeling of making someone smile through make-up."

Kelly has been a stylist since 2002.  Kelly started her career getting her cosmetology license right out of high school.  “Best decision I ever made”  

She enjoys working with clients of all ages to create unique looks that they feel great and that work with their lifestyle. She’s a big fan of dry haircutting which adds a special touch and also nice for you to see the process especially great for those who are scared of a haircut. Kelly also specializes and is Certified in Brazilian/keratin treatments. She also does Formal styling, (Up-Do’s, down-do’s) for all occasions from weddings, baby showers, photo shoots, or just because. Being a part of someone’s special day and making others feel good and beautiful makes her feel good and why she loves what she does.

Debbie started her career and worked at the prestigious Maximus Salon and Day Spa for 25 years.  During that time, she attended many hair and hair color shows and classes to further my career.  Debbie chose the direction of hair color because of her art background from attending FIT in NYC.  Debbie joined the talented team at Safie Salon and Day Spa in 2018.

Debbie worked with many talented hair artists at various hair shows.  She presented on stage at Hair Color USA and received a World Creative Artist Award and was a member of the Intercoiffure Color Council.  Debbie worked as an educator for Matrix and LOGICS USA and was a member of Gina Khan's LOGICS dream team.  She’s been published in Modern Salon magazine sharing some of her color techniques. Debbie has a passion for my field and considers herself lucky to express herself artistically through hair color.  She specializes in creating vibrant redheads, sun-kissed blondes, and rich brunettes.

Cindy is a Master Colorist with 26 years of experience in the salon industry. She always keeps educated with the new and upcoming trends by attending classes with the top color manufacturers. Cindy is certified in organic hair color for those who may be sensitive or just looking for another option. Her goal is to always make her clients look and feel beautiful.

Donna is a passionate motivated artist.  She specializes in natural-looking hair that emphasizes the best features of a client. Donna’s skills include color, cut, and formal styling.  Donna knew from an early age she wanted to make her clients feel their best by keeping up with the latest trends.  As she trained at Safie’s Salon and day spa she built up her confidence and repertoire of hair styling techniques.  Donna’s goal is to keep up with education and continue to create an environment for her clients that exceed all their expectations.

Danielle is on the fast track to becoming one of the busiest stylists/colorists in the salon.  Her talents include hair painting, extensions, and styling for all occasions.  She is certified in dream catcher hair extensions that include tape-ins and micro bead extensions.  Danielle enjoys doing the complete look from start to finish.  Dedication and hard work is Danielle’s motto.

William has been in the beauty industry for 30 years and his professional credits are extensive and varied. Throughout his career, William has served as the head developer of salon education, provided platform presentations for Intercoiffure styled backstage for several New York Fashion Week designers, and curated styles and looks for both studio photo and video shoots. William’s specialties include hair cutting, formal styling, make-up for film and video, and barbering, and his passion for the craft keeps him on the cutting edge of the profession he loves. “All tea, no shade” 

Edyth has 10+ years of experience in the Salon Industry.  Along with cutting and coloring, she is also a certified Deva Stylist.  The most enjoyable part of her job is getting to know her clients.  Understanding her clients’ personalities and lifestyles helps create a look that’s best for them.  With focusing on customer service, she hopes that her clients feel comfortable and at home the first and every time they sit in her chair.

Maria is a waxing specialist, with the proper knowledge of waxing for 36 years.  One of the first on Long Island to do Brazilian waxing and specializing in Brow sculpting and the regrowth of natural brows.  Using only a top-grade Epillyss wax which is strong enough to pull out the bulbs which slows down the regrowth of hair, yet gentle on all skin types.  

Sharon is one of our amazing nail technician for over 8 years. Creativity sets Sharon apart as a nail technician. Sharon is very creative and find joy in pursuing her artistic side.  She will ensure you have a relaxing experience!

Robyn is one of our experts in style and beauty.  Robyn started at Safié in 2020 but has been in the industry for 15 years.  She lives for a challenge! Color corrections, platinum blondes, and fashion colors are her specialty. Robyn also is trained in organic & cruelty-free color and keratin.  She constantly proves that you don't have to sacrifice quality just to be cruelty-free!  In this ever-evolving industry, she stays up-to-date on the newest & most innovative products to ensure the integrity of her work. Victoria has always had a passion for hairstyling. She has been in the industry for 10 years. Victoria is also certified in men’s barbering, Keratin, Magic Sleek and Deva Curl cuts. She enjoys taking classes and learning new trends to create a look her clients will love.

Chrissy has been a hairstylist in this industry for the past 30 years; as well as an accomplished make-up artist. She is certified and skilled in a variety of haircuts, color, highlighting as well as techniques such as relaxers, Keratin, and celebration up-do’s for all ages. Nancy provides expert and relaxing massages. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in Swedish and Deep tissue. Stretching, reflexology, and pressure points can be incorporated into massage if needed and requested.  You will leave your appointment feeling like a new person!

Melissa is a master colorist/stylist. She specializes in dimensional color. “I am passionate about giving you a color that looks good from the time you leave the salon until your next appointment.“ Melissa‘s inherited creative abilities have taken her from studying at FIT in NYC in visual merchandising to actually working and traveling in the tri-state country to store locations of Daffys to install the window and indoor displays. “As a single mom, it was too much time away from my young son, so I decided to pursue my true calling - Beauty“ Having over 20 years, she creates a custom look for each client that sits in her chair. She credits her wide range of knowledge and education is the key to her success. Inspired by her cousin, owner and master colorist of Whittemore house in downtown NYC. Melissa‘s hair-cutting technique focuses on enhancing her color applications, she is trained in color using the Goldwell, Joico, Wella, Majirel, and an INOA. Also certified in Keratin Brazilian blowouts and Lasio. I don’t have a favorite – blondes brunettes or redheads. I love to do custom balayage, hair painting, corrective color, hair, extensions, blowouts, and lastly, but most importantly, educating each client on how to maintain their hair and color. I always treat a client as if they were myself! During the consultation, I listen and advise the client. I talk them through the whole process. I look at a client's hair like a blank canvas and think anything can be achieved whether at that time or with time and patience I love the challenge my work is so rewarding to see my clients, excited and confident and that’s what it’s all about!

Chloe is truly passionate about her craft. She began her love for hair and make up at a very young age during her competitive dance years. She started at Safie Salon as an assistant and has since grown to be a valued make up artist in Colorists. Chloe continues to expand her career.
